Rubbish Night

Hey Guys!!
You wouldn’t think heavy rubbish collection night would be fun would you?
It is when you go for a drive and have a bit of a pick around!
My wonderful hubby found this old, I suppose you would call it a magazine rack?, out on the street waiting for collection the next day. He said as soon as he saw it he thought I’d love to do something with it so I did!

FIRST I gave it a wash, let it dry, then gave it a light sand to remove any loose rust and dirt.

Next  I chose some beige coloured enamel spray paint which I bought for $3 Aus from a discount store,
(It used 2 tins of beige paint in total.)
This is after just one coat, I used fairly light coats to save drying time
and the chance of it running.

Three coats later and this is how it turned out.

I decided it looked a little too new so I took to it with some sand paper to rough it up a bit and give it a shabby chic feel.

Final product ......

I wasn’t sure waht to do with it at first but then a remembered the kids needed some thing for thair bath toys so…

A bit of trash and a little inspiration!

At The Start is the best place to begin!

Hey guys!
Welcome to trash and inspiration!
I’d like to share with you my love for turning what people throw or give away into items for decorating and using around the home and garden. I’ll make a post when ever I find inspiration, trash or share with you something new I have made.

I hope you enjoy looking as much as I do making and find you inspiration!
